01 A FAMILY - A HOTEL - A PASSION

More than 50 years ago, Alois Jäger and his wife Traudl bought the Küchelberg property. Since then, the hotel with its 34 spacious rooms and suites stands for a personal atmosphere in a dreamlike landscape. Everyone feels at home here immediately and finds relaxation. In addition, an excellent cuisine spoils the palate. 

In 1994, a guesthouse became the cosy family hotel "Sonnbichl". Seven years earlier, just a few steps away, the Hotel Garni "Traubenheim" was built, which was converted into a luxurious 4-star hotel in 2006.

In the meantime, the next generation is already working hard to preserve the tradition. The younger son, Hannes, runs the Hotel Sonnbichl with his wife Anita. His passion is wine. His daily recommendations for dinner are highly appreciated, and he also knows how to prudently provide the guests with the delicacies of the house. He's never at a loss for a funny line. 

You can usually find Anita at the reception and in the office of the "Sonnbichl". Here she welcomes the guests. The junior boss always has an open ear for your concerns. Together with you, she plans your most beautiful days of the year.      

02 ALWAYS KEEPING ABREAST OF THE TIMES

In March 2017, the heart of the Hotel Sonnbichl in Tyrol Village - the in-house bar and the inviting hotel lobby - were rebuilt for our guests in a modern alpine style. Both the hotel lobby and the bar were redesigned with a very special feeling for detail and a great deal of commitment over the winter break. These inspire guests and friends of the hotel in a comfortable, light and at the same time modern alpine design.

In 2018, the dining room and the terrace were rebuilt.

Just in time for the start of the 2019 season, we have completely renovated all our 27 rooms and suites. Larger windows give you more light and a fantastic view when you wake up. All rooms and suites are now equipped with wooden floors, which increases the general well-being. It improves the indoor climate, conveys a feeling of comfort and is also a blessing for anyone who suffers from allergies. In the luxury bathrooms you can expect a shower on the ground floor as well as toilet and bidet separated from the bathroom. We have also installed a new air conditioning system and underfloor heating. As usual, we have selected high-quality materials for your dream holiday with us.

03 WINTER BREAK IN SONNBICHL

Those of us who live in vacation areas must also take a break every once in a while... Therefore, our hotel will be closed from 11 November 2019 to 20 March 2020. Our employees will enjoy this well-deserved break, and the rooms will have a little beauty sleep.
