Travelling by plane
From Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and London, Skyalps offers direct flights to Bolzano/Bozen in South Tyrol (Bolzano/Bozen Airport – BZO). Our hotel is just under 35 km from the airport. Free transfer to the Hotel Sonnbichl.

Travelling by train
South Tyrol is easy to reach with the trains of the Austrian Federal Railways, the Swiss Federal Railways and the German Railways. You can find an overview of all train connections to South Tyrol on Trainline.

Travelling by bus
Our bus partners will take you directly to the Hotel Sonnbichl.

- From Zurich with the Südtirolexpress
- From Munich, Innsbruck, Malpensa, Bergamo and Verona airports with Südtirol Bus
Travelling by car
Via the Jaufen Pass, the A22 Brenner motorway, the Reschen Pass and the MeBo motorway (Merano-Bolzano), the route takes you by car to Merano and from there to Tirolo.
Travelling by electric car
The Hotel Sonnbichl has 20 charging stations for your electric car (for a fee).
Travelling by bike
Our hotel is also easily accessible by bike and only a few kilometres from the "Via Claudia Augusta" long-distance cycle path. Follow the cycle path along the well-developed cycle path network from Merano to Val Passiria and turn off towards Tirolo.
Approach on foot
You can cross the Alps via the Merano High Mountain Trail and reach the Sonnbichl on foot on a hiking adventure.
Soft mobility and car-free holidays
Tirolo is perfectly connected to the public transport network thanks to its location. This means you can get to your excursion destination in and outside Tirolo car-free and sustainably:
- 150 metres from the hotel, the panoramic chairlift takes you from Tirolo to Merano in just a few minutes
- You can actively explore the surrounding area with the e-bikes from our bike hire centre
- Tirolo and Merano are also a hiking experience on foot
- Travelling South Tyrol by public transport
